Manager, High Performance

Responsibilities:
Reporting to the CEO/ GM, the Manager for High Performance is responsible for the management of High Performance operational plan towards the High Performance players.

 

He or she will perform management duties including administration, coordinating, organization and execution of Singapore Badminton Association – High Performance activities and coordination of competitions.

 

High Performance Management
Main responsibilities are to develop and/or execute the High Performance Operation Plan (HiPOP) for High Performance Team and review current processes to improve relating to High Performance.
As the main contact point with Singapore Sports Institute (SSI) Athletes development division on athletes development issues, liaise with SSI Sports Medicine/Sports Science division on the various aspects of training, nutrition, strength & conditioning, psychology, biomechanics etc.

 

Players Management
As the main liaison between the players, coaches as well as between SSI to athletes, coaches and sparring partners. Management of HR policies, National Team and Major Games selection policies, cash incentive policies, recruitment process, leave applications, claims, results, bio data and other financial matters pertaining to players.

 

Budgeting
To manage and track budgets for overseas training and competitions of National Team as well as to, prepare expenditure statement for each trip.

 

Requirements:

  • Degree/Diploma in any discipline with at least 3 years of work experience
  • Prior experience in High Performance Management will be an advantage
  • Passion for sports and interest in Badminton
  • Project management skills with experience handling multiple deadlines and schedules
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good presentation skills
  • Self-motivated and adaptable to be able to work with minimal supervision
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint
